Convince

Sometimes,
I convince myself that you never loved me at all-
it is easier than knowing you did love me then,
but do not now.

Sometimes,
I convince myself that I never loved you back -
because it's too painful to admit that I did,
and still do now.

And sometimes,
just sometimes,
I try to convince myself that you still love me,
and that nothing between us ever changed.
