Lost

I always wondered why love, passion, and zeal are associated with fire
Why we say fiery passion
Or the love spark
Or how are hearts set a blaze are emotions with zeal

Now i see why
After what has happened
I'm no longer blinded by the smoke
I can see why we say these things

Love is like playing with fire
you always get burned in the end
No matter what the fire will burn
And afterwards will eventually die down

The passion only creates smoke
So we can't see the danger
Love only resets the flame
Only to make it more dangerous

And the blaze soon engulfs us
Burning are heart from the inside out
Well no more I will not allow it to
I have lost my heart of gold

Someone stole it when passion started
Not returning it when the fire set the inferno off
Allowing me to chase her with zeal
Allowing me to burn more

I won't replace it with gold
I can't replace it with gold
I have no more gold to replace it with
But I will replace it with a heart of coal instead

So when the fire goes off my heart quickly burns
So when the smoke comes and love tries to spark it won't
There won't be nothing left so I can't get hurt
I won't get hurt anymore because I have lost my heart

I wanted to write something with the angry I had but this was the best I could do

I love the wording in this piece. It is full of passion (whether that is misguided anger or pain or just plainly something else) and that really brings your images, description, and lines to life in a way that I have yet to see you do. But I quite enjoy.

I'm sorry for everything that caused this piece, but it is very well penned.
