When I do

by Meme   May 30, 2015

I found you again in the pages
of childhood where it began,
-my love- you found me too.
My fate is sealed, my heart
is healed for I can't imagine
belonging to someone else.

And I will sing, and I will dance
and I will love for it's our chance.

So take me to Paris, let the
dreamer in me come to
live. Allow me to wander
in its streets, even if I get
lost I will always find you
somewhere in between.

Let me wake up to the
smell of rose petals in a
mystic blend of coffee.
And lull me to sleep with
a promise to keep your
fingers interlaced in mine.

Stray with me in the streets
of love for no maps can find
the way to where we are now.
Stay with me on the outskirts
of the present, like travelers;
we're a step ahead of the past

So yes I do, I believe in you
I believe in us, I believe it's true.

This is such a sweet love poem. I really enjoyed reading the part going to Paris and let the dreamer come to life. Paris is amazing and it is well known for people in love spending their honeymoon there. I like how you ended it. 5/5
