Stains on the carpet

by silvershoes   Jun 1, 2015

Like cabernet spilling from my lips,
a sour blend of vinegarish red,
you should not have been uncorked.
More pure behind green glass, you,
when neither of us knew the taste.

I really like the images. It speaks of a relationship that isn't living in a relationship/or the other is just taking it for granted. Without knowing, understanding two people have gone into a relationship just to realize there isn't anything after all...or maybe it just takes time or need to be tested.

That is what I'm getting from this read...there is a tinge of sadness behind this write too..Congrats on the win!
