A very touching write that speaks from the heart to many hearts. There were so many little phrases in this poem that speak deeply and that many feel at the time of ones death. I often think we don't think enough about this world's inevitability. We get so close to someone and become fast friends and we never think about a day when they won't be there. |

Took the words right out of my mouth, but your poem flows so well. The "for months" line.... Well done. |

Life is such...we meet extra ordinary people who turn our lives around, may they be friends, relatives or even a total stranger. Through their hardship, sickness and all we can learn many lessons and the biggest lesson to live with is their loss... |

I could feel the sadness as you weave your words and emotions about your dying friend. I guess it must've been hard on the other side too; to tell your love ones that you don't have much time left. |

KelleyanaI read this with tears filling my eyes. I have felt these same feelings losing people that I loved so much. I think your special friend did so much for the people he cared for. Keep your memories close to your heart and he will still be there giving his strength to the ones who were special to him. |

Hi there, it's funny to me when I come across a poem that truely speaks to me on here that was written so long ago but feels like it was written in front of me. Loved it and saved for later reading. Regards Ink. |
