A very touching write that speaks from the heart to many hearts. There were so many little phrases in this poem that speak deeply and that many feel at the time of ones death. I often think we don't think enough about this world's inevitability. We get so close to someone and become fast friends and we never think about a day when they won't be there.

Structurally wise, this poem could use a little work to clear up the stanzas, and there are a few spelling mistakes woven throughout the poem. The main broken up stanzas are good, however, I would break those up into a couple of lines to make it a bit easier to read and the poem would flow better as a result.

I do understand that this poem was probably written with many emotions so do not take my criticism too heavily. The emotions and deepness of the poem are wonderfully done. So much so that I can easily relate to your words as I remember those who I have counted among my friends that are no longer here. I hope you find comfort and are able to focus on the many memories you have had with this person! Great job and keep writing!

Took the words right out of my mouth, but your poem flows so well. The "for months" line.... Well done.

Life is such...we meet extra ordinary people who turn our lives around, may they be friends, relatives or even a total stranger. Through their hardship, sickness and all we can learn many lessons and the biggest lesson to live with is their loss...

I could feel the sadness as you weave your words and emotions about your dying friend. I guess it must've been hard on the other side too; to tell your love ones that you don't have much time left.

That illness that paralyzed our line our communications

I love the way you phrase it.

Other than that it's a worthy piece to read.

    Aw Kelleyana,

To let go is so hard, especially when the person is extra special. I am sorry you have to go through this, but know that you will ultimately meet again.
A beautiful tribute to a loved friend:)

Take care, dear lady xx Ingrid

KelleyanaI read this with tears filling my eyes. I have felt these same feelings losing people that I loved so much. I think your special friend did so much for the people he cared for. Keep your memories close to your heart and he will still be there giving his strength to the ones who were special to him.
    Take care

Hi there, it's funny to me when I come across a poem that truely speaks to me on here that was written so long ago but feels like it was written in front of me. Loved it and saved for later reading. Regards Ink.
