A Poem I Can't Name

by Jad   Jun 3, 2015

A lost passage in an empty mind.
Lifeless eyes in a forgotten soul,
wandering aimlessly for stories untold.
My heart wishes release from this confine.

Words hold no meaning yet are spoken.
Just as these eyes strain for naught,
but perhaps this life and the one sought
are the reasons I remained broken.

I've poured my pain time and time again.
Like a hushed voice with no joy,
like a broken and motherless boy,
like fire reflected eyes in a war.

So to a person who knows me well.
I write a poem I can't name
with a tone that sounds the same,
yet loses meaning in each farewell.

There is sadness that is not named yet it lives inside of you, a sadness which will grab a reader and make them ponder why, what. The message within this is meant for you and to the person whom you have written this for which makes it personl...touching

It sounds sad. It sounds devoid of life. hollow. I'm not sure the exact word to say about the atmosphere this poem has. Though, it reminded me of the times when I have felt hmm null?,

I like the title, it's hard to give a title and name the poem. Though to name a poem and give it a title, I think both are different things or may be are the same?

    ha! I have no clue.

But if you keep pouring your pain with a hushed voice, it may help... but sometimes, what helps most is to talk about it with someone who could give you feedback.

I like the poem. It help one ponder about how one feels. Thanks for sharing.

This seems personal. Though I haven't really tried to figure out much the meaning behind it all, I did enjoy reading it. There's something about it.. thank you for sharing
