Marble eyes

by Blackbeak   Jun 14, 2015

Through the fields you run as fast as Lightning
With wind in your hair and face you run free
Your head held high and that's really heightening
You have grace and style that amazes me

May you look me in my eyes and my soul
You will see I'm not here to destroy
Just want to look in marble eyes that's whole
And then leave thee right here with all your joy

So take your marble eyes and soul and leave
Cause the night is closing in on us two
I know you're hearing fire don't be naive
Your ears are pointed and you're next in queue

But my deer you're already lying down
With your head down and no majestic crown

It is a very good poem but "deer" should be dear.
