For God Is The Boss Of Me:

by Scott Cole   Jun 14, 2015

Oh hey there Mr. Devil
You're not the Boss of me,
So get off of my back
Mr. Devil would you please.

You always lie to me
And get me in trouble,
The more I listen to you
The more I seem to struggle.

You act just like a friend
You act just like you care,
If it's between you and God
I will go to God in prayer.

You say you stay so busy
With a lot of things to do,
You can't always be there
Sometimes when I need you.

Yet I'm still in your thoughts
And you do wish me well,
So why are you always asking
If my precious Soul is for sale.

Mr. Devil you're a sly ole Fox
And pulling tricks you do like,
So it's really hard to figure out
When you're going to strike.

I just need some good advice
Or someone that I can talk to,
So just give it to me straight
When I'm down and feeling blue.

Oh hey there Mr. Devil
You're not the Boss of me,
So just get off of my back
Mr. Devil would you please.

Cause only God knows my heart
And in him I fully do believe,
So quit telling me what to do
For only God is the Boss Of Me.

My pleasure to come upon this poem! Yeah! The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came so we may have life and have it abundantly! Wow, what a bold and inspiring poem this is! You are truly blessed!
