Black and Beautiful

by DarkLight   Jun 15, 2015

Wounded bird,
broken wing
hungry and sad.
Popping eyes,
concave stomach
dry lips
thirst of life.
Killing guns,
left bullet shells.
Bowed heads
kneeling down
thanking God.
It's a new dawn
yet no food.
Black and beautiful
face in Africa.
