Duke is the team; the team for me,

For there is never an in between.
We're the talk of the Carolinas
And basketball is our cash crop,
Whenever we pull up for a three
You can count it before it drops.
We have the most devoted fans
They call us the Cameron Crazies,
Now let me tell you a little story
That began way back in the eighties.
When Duke stepped out of the closet
And reared their basketball heads,
From that moment on to the present
Duke was known as a thoroughbred.
Both in ninety-one and in ninety-two
Duke won back to back plaques,
Which helped their basketball team
Off and running on the right track.
After nine long years of waiting
But all the total wins still adding up,
We finally won it all again in 2001
With another great Championship run.
Again in exactly nine more years
We finally got trophy number four,
But then in four short years later
We closed our fifth championship door.
With well over nine hundred wins
And five great Championship runs,
Of course Duke is my favorite team
And of course Duke is number one.
