Worth The Wait

by rosey   Jun 18, 2015

I don't Need you to tell me who I'm going to love.

I know exactly What kind of man I'm thinking of.

One who's strong and puts his arms around me.

When I'm lost he always finds me.

I love him because he's always trying,

To find different ways to keep me smiling.

And he kisses each salty, painful tear that he finds sliding,

Down my cheeks as I am crying,

And I can't help but but hold on tightly to a man,

Not a boy, who loves me deeply.

He's my other half,
The one I need and dream of.

He's my rock my place of comfort,
The one God sent me to lean on.

The one I can pray with and cherish for life,

The one who will always stick by my side,
No matter what strife puts pain in our eyes,

He is a sign!

A symbol, that good men exist outside of romance novels.

A way of showing the world that out there, God has someone special waiting for you.

For your eyes,
Your smile,
Your laugh,
Your light,
Your spirit.
Your mind,

Your love.

That is the man I'm dreaming of!

And until he comes,
I'll be smiling,
I'll be laughing,
I'll be patient,

I'll be waiting...
