She Grins

by Maple Tree   Jun 19, 2015

There is a women who
Lingers in thoughtless
Dreams,the kind that
Never come true.

She's an annoyance
To the eye that feeds
Upon ignorance.

You never know
Where her feet dance,
It's an endless alcove
Of corridors;
She drinks from the moon
And bathes in the sun.

She finds humor in humans-
And she grins,
Her fortress is a mystery.

She becomes shadows
Of what normal appears
To be....

    Judging Comment:

Mystery and the yearning to know more about this woman intrigues me as a reader.
I like the way how the writer describes this
ethereal beauty without giving away too much.
Certain lines in the poem, captures my attention
and makes me want to seek out more. There is
always a smile and a magical tree to Maple's write...liked it!
