Trading Places:

by Scott Cole   Jun 21, 2015

Both snowflakes and people
Not a single one is alike,
Some have a dull design
While others will delight.

Snowflakes are from Heaven
And die upon the Earth,
While people are from Earth
And go to Heaven after rebirth.

All snowflakes contain snow
And always keeps it's mold,
While people contain a soul
That they don't always uphold.

Yet snowflakes and people
They both can be real cold,
With snowflakes it's by nature
With people it's by control.

Snowflakes are seldom seen
For snowflakes have a season,
While people are easily seen
For people have a reason.

Both snowflakes and people
Can be somewhat withdrawn,
Snowflakes by Mother Nature
And people on their own.

Snowflakes are frail and weak
Some people can be too,
Snowflakes due to structure
And people due to abuse.

Snowflakes are not judged
People should not be either,
For a person's race or religion
Should not concern the perceiver.

May the snowflakes all fall
May the snowflakes all fly,
May they drift slowly down
As they drop from the sky.

And as room comes available
For the people that prefer,
May they take the empty spaces
Where the snowflakes once were.
