In your pocket

by Meme   Jun 22, 2015

Hook me to your day,
clip me in a key chain,
let me be a necessity
in your life...

Carry me around like
a fragile belonging,
-I. Am. Yours-

For your fingers to
interlock in mine,
and leave me hanging
in your webs of doubt.

You were the missing
key, but how come
you never opened
the door.....?!

Yes, love the use of metaphors in this. A lovely flow to this too.

I Thought I had commented on this already....evidently not, Meme, sometimes when you write, like this, I just get lost between the lines, it doesn't matter if it is a long or short piece, you have such a fantastic way with words that the mets and sims hit me right where they're supposed to.

    As usual, Fantastic writing.

Your metaphors are effective and endearing. I get a sense of hope in this poem, but a bit of sadness at the end. We all hoped to be loved in a grand way, but at the end of the day, a simple act of opening a door can be meaningful.

    cheers

Your poetry always moves me..sometimes...if you are not signed in at the same time as me I forget to read...shame on me..sweets...

    Hock me to your day,

    ^^

    should that be hook?

clip me in a key chain,

Actually I found this quite sad...a necessity like car keys, change for the parking metre?

    Carry me around like
    a fragile belonging,
    -I. Am. Yours-

You sound so hard and cold here...

    For your fingers to
    interlock in mine,
    and leave me hanging
    in your webs of doubt.

    You were the missing
    key, but how come
    you never opened

Someone did not understand you I feel..you know...sometimes we have to consider the fact that we do not always understand ourselves.

The fact that you commented means a lot hon. I always love how you receive my poetry and how interpret it back to me.
      Thank you :)
