Sacrilege

by John Doe   Jun 22, 2015

I once had two gods,
one white and the other black.
I worshipped them with a belief,
that there wasn't anything they could lack.

Now I have no God,
No God but a mind.
For I have met a million gods,
And a million more I can find.

If you ask me what happened!!?
I'd just say I grew up.
And the day I did that,
My gods I blew up.

For they were mere humans,
knowing them was no privilege.
For they were mere humans,
And hence I commit this sacrilege.
**************************************************************
The last line can imply two things. Either I blew up the idea of God or maybe I blew up my actual GODS.

The poem was more about a boy growing up to realize that his father is no superhero and he is so pissed off that he ends up Killin them.
