Memories

by TheMask   Jun 24, 2015

I open my eyes I'm surrounded by water
Cold, bone chilling water
As I look up I see rays of light shining down onto me
All colors of the rainbow I see coming towards me

As I let air out of my lungs
Beautiful bubbles come out
With the light shinning against them
I see exquisite pictures of old
I recognize the people in them but can't remember who

I go to touch one and as I do it pops
And I close my eyes and relive the moment
"Ah" my body fills with my mothers warmth
Like the blanket wrapped around me the day I was born
The security returns I remember the memory

"I see" these are mine as more air comes out and more bubbles appear
I go to pop them to relive my moments to feel the warmth again
The water gets warm the more I pop and then they stop
I have no more air left no more memories to relive except one I go to pop it

As I close my eyes I see her and only her
She ask what's wrong your crying
"Nothing I'm only remembering things" as you wipe away the tears
