Restless

by Shinobi   Jun 24, 2015

Restless nights for a tired soul
Dreams disturb a worn mind
Isolated in darkness swallowed whole
Feeling helpless, stranded, and blind

Days go by but time is never changing
Reality has been frozen, unforgiving and cold
Warmth spreads inside of her, raging
Can't forsee what is yet to unfold

Hope shines above into the darkened room
Heart's emotions awaken in a tender bliss
Morning brings a sweet sent of bloom
Rays of light pull her from the abyss

No longer stranded in the dark
Seeing the promises of reality unfold
Finally she can feel the promising spark
Endless opportunities for her to behold

In the pit of our minds we are alone
In a warm embrace love remembers
Her pain, burden hard as stone
Hope radiant like those warm embers

Never should she be left alone

Everything fades with dreams of love
Restless nights no longer cold
For she is my white pure dove
The one my heart will forever hold
