My weeping heart

by CRAFTY KEN   Jun 30, 2015

My weeping heart
When I looked at her face it was pale white and bleak like a cadaver so to speak.
So frail, so weak, my heart did sink, my face fell wishing to hide the tear on my cheek.
A pale horse just rode by, was it a sign or have I had too much wine?
Has the Grim Reaper caught my eye, death is a reality that no one can deny,
I think with sigh, oh my oh my.
What is life but a span of time filled with happiness and strife; with death approaching like a road sign, it is appointed by the Divine so don't whine.
Truly like a vapor our lives are, we struggle to survive, stay alive but one day we all will come to the great Divide with our souls having nowhere to hide.
Light and night, in the sunshine the Eagles soar without effort or pain, each day the winds will lift them again, at night we see them no more, darkness again is knocking on our door.
As the shadows creep in many are trying to sleep but to no avail, their Bird of Paradise has already set sail.
My loved one tosses and turns tormented by her grief, her thoughts digress to despair, she thinks; does anyone care?
She longs to sleep and drown her pain in the deep, she longs for the waves of unconscious bliss to carry her over the Abyss and awake to a new day.
A day where the outgoing tide will take her grief and sadness far away, that is my heart's desire for her I say, I will always love her by the way!
