School Friends:

by Scott Cole   Jul 3, 2015

We go way back together
Every since the first grade,
When we first meet
Next to the window shade.

You were just sitting there
All alone and quiet,
So I guess you also hate
Whenever we have Science.

For the rest of year
We became good friends,
And would talk together
Whenever our class had Gym.

You always hang around
Long after school was over,
And get answers to your work
By looking over my shoulder.

One day I came to school
I couldn't find you nowhere,
I looked in all the windows
But I didn't see you there.

There's been an accident
And you nearly died overnight,
When teacher got to school
You didn't look all that right.

You could hardly stand up
Kept falling to your side,
So teacher helped you out
With fresh air from outside.

You will be missed my friend
All the little talks we had,
Who will I hang out with
The next time I'm getting sad.

The best part of this story
Is your not a person at all,
You're just a school flower
That was dropped in the hall.

"An get answers to your work by looking over my shoulder" - haha. We all remember that one. Great, surprising end here too.
"couldn't find you nowhere" should be "anywhere".
    All the best
