Jane doe

by The Poet Behind The Poems   Jul 7, 2015

As I gently wash him down, rinsing off the sins of Satan,
decaying memories buried inside his mind, forgotten -
eternally trapped never to be revealed.

My knife slices through his dreams, a cold heart
no longer beats disires of the future, even through
his eyes a story can not be read, he has nothing but a name -

John.

A smile forms upon my face, thoughts of
His suffering gives me the purest feeling
of happiness, draped in concrete while I'm
bathing in his life, engulfed by these Images.

As the water cleanses my skin, I feel absolved,
in his eyes I knew he recognised me, but to the world
I have nothing but a name -

Jane.

Wow tony this poem is truly powerful and I like how you brought a twist to the story with john and jane doe. As Ben said I really like how you did two sides of the story to each of them. There is always two sides to every story indeed. It seems like for john he is trying to cleanse his sins away, and it is the same thing for Jane. Another interesting aspect to the poem, it seems to me that Each one is telling the others story through their perspective. 5/5
