NeverKnown

by Cantchangeme   Jul 7, 2015

A fairy tale for forgotten children
The story teller tending a dying flame
Without a spark for life to savour
Crib to cremation the message is the same

We must colour and shade our lives
With the 26 letters we are assigned
A reaction to the failure of linguistics
Toothpaste covered blisters, I'll-defined

Merciful the martyred Mother cries
Tears that Sons have never known
The weight of souls expectant
A collar Into which survivors are sewn

Blue streaks arc, caught in the flash
The wire exposed to naked skin
Relieved as the current hits her veins
Too tired to fight, we let it in

This is very powerful. The rhythm kept the flow smooth.
