Wow! What a moving poem - and you're right, respect should be earned not simply be given because of who you are.

Omg this is such a sad piece. We all deserve to have a mum/dad but sometimes it doesn't happen and I'm sorry it's the case for you. I have the same thing with my Dad. As Ben said though respect should be earned no matter who you are
