Full circle (Triple Etheree) (HM)

by Mr. Darcy   Jul 13, 2015

Twist
And turn
Sky-diving
Swallows fly, glide;
Dancing, romancing -
Ice-skating the currents,
Like a sky figure of eight.
They chase and catch select insects
Within their (size of a green pea) throats
From Steeple to field they feast in the sun.

Blighty welcomes these feathered, flighty friends,
For they've travelled far, a deathly feat;
From Africa through the Congo,
'cross baking desert beneath.
They feed whilst on the wing,
Side by side they're strong,
'though some will fall,
like, sad tears
to the
Sea.

Land
Ahead.
Dover's cliffs
Promising dreams
Of nesting courtships,
Where they will tend their young
And demonstrate the ballet
Of the swallow, scoring the blues,
Like the Calligrapher's swirling nib
The last letter's tail returns home again.

    Love how you expanded on the tale about the swallows, even more description here, very well done, Michael!

    They feed whilst on the wing,
    Side by side they're strong,
    'though some will fall,
    like, sad tears
    to the
    Sea.
