The Gift

I have loved you for so long and I guess sometimes I am afraid of losing you because I don't think I could ever learn how to not love you. You are the breath that keeps me alive. You are the nourishment that feeds my soul. Your eyes are my portals showing me that there is beauty in this mostly ugly world. Your heart provides the beat of the tune that I love to dance to. And your smile, that special, special smile lights up my life and let's me know that I will never have to fear the dark again. And when I wake up every morning and think that my life must be a dream your lips assure me it's real. I don't deserve you but I accept you humbly as a true gift of God.
