Please Don't Leave Me...

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Jul 15, 2015

So many words in the English language,
Yet, we're standing here in complete silence,
A tear swells but I won't dare wipe it,
For once, I wanna show my vulnerability
The warmth inside is no longer a thrill,
Butterflies used to be a really big deal,
But now that things had gotten too real,
I can understand if you wanna leave

Just don't take this the wrong way
But I need you here, you have to stay
To tell me that even though now it's not,
That everything between us will be okay

Heart in hand, promise you won't crush it,
It may not seem special but, to me, it's beloved
I used to wish that you would eventually want it,
Got quite a bruise from that hasty fall
Without you, the strength to go on wouldn't exist,
I won't blame you, I know I can make things intense,
I knocked down a wall, I've jumped over a fence
And I hate the fact that this locked door is my fault

Don't take this the wrong way
But I need your help because I'm afraid
Just tell me that even though now it's not,
That everything between us will be okay

With all my heart, I swear you're perfect
And even your struggles makes me love you more
I know things will never be the same as before
Tell me it's gonna be okay, just dont walk out the door
