Candlelight Dream night

by Dancing Rivers   Jul 17, 2015

Something about the candlelight
shows magic in my woeful eyes.
A shimmering glow on mountainous silk,
mingles with the breath of faeries and ilk.

Little nymphs dance in the mist
laughing gaily as they plant a kiss
of magic on this nakedness;
such a whimsical bliss.

Little sprite, your faerie light,
glows soft as the silver stars' eyes
as you dance on graceful wings-
such wondrous joy to me you bring

Tiny salamander prance
through this joyous night in France,
as we sip on ancient tales
of times when your kind hailed

Oh lovely Saimhain Oidhe
what an ethereal time is near
all the olde folk are here you see?
They've come to sup with me and the Draoi.

authors note:
pronounciation:
faerie- fairy
saimhain- sah-win
oidhe- eed
olde- old
draoi- dree

I haven't read anything written in old language. I found this beautiful to read.

Love the use of old language in this and the imagery throughout is truly outstanding.
