The Afterlife Outcast

by The Modern Day Renaissance Man   Jul 18, 2015

As my eyes close for the final time
And the soul leaves this body of mine
While my family says their last goodbye
I wonder what it is I'll be when I've died
Standing over myself I know I'm free
Free from all this pain you could not see
It is not your fault the blame is mine
I built these walls so I could hide
The cries subside
The room falls silent
Time stands still
Then lightning blinds me
With only moments one thought still looms
What will I be when my souls consumed
A devil in the sky flying far and wide
Or an angel in hell simply left alone to cry
