Concrete Angel

by Baby Rainbow   Jul 28, 2015

I am the tattered photograph
carried as a memory
inside the locket of a loved one -

a mystery unexplained,
another statistic to mourn.

One fragile soul so misunderstood,
now a concrete angel
buried without a smile,

but with plenty of pain in her heart.

    Another haunting, beautifully written piece.
That first stanza is so vivid.
