Baggage

by Sarah Day   Aug 8, 2015

We live our lives in the most wasteful of ways
Baggage from our past packed for future days
The present we have been given was meant for us to be living
not To be frittered away
Each day we awake we should be surely to thank
the lord, our true Father above.
Every morning afresh gives us more time we are blessed
A chance for starting anew
Each approaching sunrise gives new hope to our lives
a chance to redo any mistakes we have made
Gods promise to you will surely be true
he will follow through with all that he has pledged
so live in the moment be a true testament
of the magnificence of God divine.

This is one of my favorites. I love this poem because of its uplifting nature. It gives one a feeling of hope if they believe. Also it seems to be a rare theme for this author in particular. Great work!

I like the way the format was done since I wouldn't have loved it if it was centered since it's a quite blunt poem it doesn't need to be dressed up and that's what I liked the most about this poem.

This poem made me smile since not a lot of people are religious I know there is a God and I am happy to say that I believe in him and I found this enlightening but not a lot of people will agree.

I really did enjoy reading this, have a nice day.
