The Insidious

by DarkLight   Aug 9, 2015

There is life surrounding us,
like evil eyes that waits for our down fall
where happiness can only be born and not adopted.

There is a monster that resides in us,
one that feeds on our morals
ready to take over when you're done.

There is fear that resembles our love
ruling over as if they own us
a weakness that holds us down.

There is sadness in our eyes
one that over throws the comfort and peace we keep to ourselves
almost to devour our future principals.

In the light of a day break
our spirits rules
in the times of our weakness,
our God is strong
when the hope is no longer a stone to hold on Christ Jesus always got our backs.
Do not despair,
for there is much to see that what meets our eyes.

For there is much to see that what meets our eyes.

    - I this line would be better as:

for there is much MORE to see THAN what meets our eyes.

It doesn't quite make sense the way you have it.

But a great inspiring write, life is hard, but hold on, stay strong and have faith as it will get you through and offer you what you wait for.

    Great write

Excellent piece and I love the layout and short stanzas used here.
