The years after

by Carla Benser   Aug 10, 2015

The world seemed so quiet and peaceful, but that all changed when the Twin Towers in New York went down 5 years ago. Watching it on the news made it feel like it was i you're own backyard. As we watched the towers go down across the nation tears started to fall. Growing up we were taught that this was the land of the free, but seeing something so horrible on the news makes us feel like we lost our freedom. Every year the memory of that faithful day starts to come back. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think about the heartache that was brought to America and the lives that were lost that day. Even though the towers are no longer standing, we will always remember the hero's that helped that day. This is still the land of the free and the home of the braves.
