Let's drink tonight

by Everlasting   Aug 10, 2015

Let's drink tonight
with a toss up to the moon.

And while at it,
Let's get swallowed by the night,
And get drunk until we see the stars.

There are mountains of emotions
ranging in this heart of mine.
Let's explore them,
One by one,
As if each of those emotions
where the mountains,
I always wanted to climb

But didn't
because I never had the strength,
nor did my heart had the endurance
to survive
such a steep climb

I'm too weak.

Thus let's get drunk
tonight

Even if
Milk
is all we have

Cheers!

Well depicted emotions of life so true .....to your heart

'ranging in this heart of mine '

    Keep penning:)

Love the "ranging in this heart" instead of the cliche "raging" Your word choice adds a layer of thought.

The whole idea of sitting back instead of exploring gives an ironic twist. Relationships need time out from mutual discovery occasionally. Yet your challenge of mountains to climb (emotional at least) seems firmly rooted in the future.

    Typo: less should be let's

Haha...milk is so yummy one can get drunk!

Seriously, this write has that punch which we call life, the reality kicks in as I read and immerse with the feelings you pen...

      Haha, Milk sure helps!

Too bad that in my case, my face will be regretting it a few days later.
