Two Faced Flames

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 12, 2015

When we first met,
I could see a pain burning in your eyes,
and all I wanted to do was extinguish the flames.

I didn't see you as broken -
nor something that I needed to fix,
but all the same, I never judged you
or tried to change you,
I happily accepted what I saw.

Maybe my mistake was believing
that you would do the same with me?

People seem too often ready to judge, don't they? Especially when, if they looked at themselves, there could be a fair amount of judgement there. A sad write Saffie, but very effective.
