Delila

by Dancing Rivers   Aug 13, 2015

Stunning vision on a mission,
glowing red gown, his will did drown,
long black silk, his hands did milk,
dark chocolate eyes, caught him by surprise.

Oh temptress, how you impress!
Your smile on men for more than a while.
Devil eyes, your little spies,
hooked Samson, first time he never won.

Lush red lips, the price for a poison kiss,
Samson could never imagine, in the heat of oceanic passion.
Delila you siren, you set his desire a-stirring,

I was not fond of the rhyme scheme here tbh. I mean the flow is nice but it seems forced. But the meaning of the poem is great. The meaning of the poem seems to be about love and maybe you are in love with this person, but another girl wants him too. That is what I think the meaning is.

I love the rhyme scheme used here. You don't see it all that often - I always find it quite hard. Brilliant poem. Well done.
