Faultless Eyes

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 14, 2015

You wanted wands of magic
to wash away my pain,
but the truth is you didn't need them,
for your angel wings were powerful enough
to sparkle magic on their own.

I worried whether you would understand,
or what you might think of me,
but I can see when I look at you
that there is no fault in your eyes.

You do not judge how things have come to be,
instead you look for things that are often hard to see,
and by doing so, I believe your eyes
looked straight inside of me.

I want to tell you this and so much more,
because I pushed aside what used to be
to take a chance and accept a love
that I hope will prove me wrong,
by showing me that:

when we have no fault inside our eyes,
we have no judgement in our hearts.

We can see what is truly there,
and love that vision
for the unique creation
that it will always be.

What a thoughtful and honest write, Saffie. That's what I love about your pieces - they are so emotionally raw and moving. All great art should move people in one way or another - yours certainly packs a punch!
