Park Night Walk or The Symmetry of Companions (double haiku)

by Larry Chamberlin   Aug 15, 2015

Hot paths in shadows
dog sniffs along star lit trail
cat stalks playfully.

Gray blur in shadows
whines at being left behind
good friend wags his tail.

    Hi Larry,

I like this piece. Two different perspectives and both of them brilliantly executed.

This reminds me of a cat that used to come along for the dog walk too. He used to cross roads and had no fear at all. Unfortunately we found him one Sunday morning lying still and cold in the road. He lived a short, but very happy life.

    Take care,

    Michael

Yes, we fear for Charlie as well, but she is very wary of vehicles
