Blinded By Grief

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 17, 2015

The white light of grief is blinding,
I can no longer stand the pain.
Tears piling up in puddles
of rejection from the past,
I can't even remember why they started
but they continue to run,
slipping off the edge of my cheeks.

And as the night goes on,
my chest burns deeply,
as my pulse starts to fade away
with my tears.

I once put my heart in your hands,
and since you left,
I feel like I have nothing left to lose.
