Cats & Dogs

by Lune de ma vie   Aug 22, 2015

Cats!
Balls of fun
Fluffy, soft, and cute
Adventurous feline's pounce
For warm cuddles and sweet pats
Lurking in shadows
Meowing
purr.

Dogs!
Loyal souls
Love to entertain
Fetching, catching, licking too
A world of adventure with
A friendship that's true
Man's best friend
You.

    Hi Justin,

I really love how you wrote this poem, it does well to describe each critter and the imagery is stunning. You could say that this poem says that opposites can attract maybe or you have both dogs and cats as your pets and know how they act. I agree that this is a gem of a poem. You did well to describe what each one does well. and you can see each line play out. Same with the dog side It seems like each line holds a new scene and you did well with that. Not only did you describe the imagery, but an action each one does.

For the cat side I loved the lurking in shadows line, as cats do like to sneak up on people and get the element of surprise. But not only cats here but kittens as well, they seem to be more playful than adult cats. For the dog side, Dogs really are loyal if you let them be and train them well, so they will always be mans best friend, Overall the poem is well versed and looks nice on the page here.

This is a beautiful poem and I agree this was really fun to read. The descriptions are perfect as well as are the imagery. This might be a simple poem but it says a lot. I love how you describe each animal in the detail that you did I believe it works really well and that is what you were going for in this poem. I love this form as well, although it escapes my mind on what form this is. Anyways to this is crafted well.

Lol, this poem was fun to read. I pictured both the cats and the dogs. By the way, is this a poetry formed poem?

At first sight it looks like a diamante, but I'm too lazy to check for the rules.
