I try not to lie
But sometimes I just have to
I try to keep my friends from crying
But sometimes it cannot be helped

I try my best not to laugh
But I find things just to funny
I try to sleep
But sometimes things keep me to stay awake

I try to keep calm
But sometimes I have to let it out
I try to stay
But sometimes I have to go

I try to be patient
But sometimes I need to know
I try to get on with life
But sometimes things can’t always be perfect

I try and I try
And all that sometimes happens…
Is nothing!

I try so hard to understand
Other people go by me quicker
And they try more

But still
I will try even if I don’t succeed
For trying is everything,
It is a big part of life!
