Life

by alka mendiratta   Aug 26, 2015

This universe called life,
is a vast ocean in which
we survive;

lessons are earned and
we return it to spread
its words...
just like a speck of dust
we kick from our feet
returns to earth
the place of its birth;

Rejoicing the pleasure
of giving what we reap
like tiny dew drops falling
off a leaf.

    To be honest, you could have written a little more. I mean there should be one more stanza just like the middle one. But still it's indeed a good write. Especially the ending you have given to it. I just love the ending.

    Alka
    it has been a long time since I have got to read any poetry. I really enjoyed this.

    This universe called life,
    is a vast ocean in which
    we survive;

    Seems like no matter what life throws our way we find a reason to fight to survive. Very intense feelings coming from your words.

    lessons are earned and
    we return it to spread
    its words...
    just like a speck of dust
    we kick from our feet
    returns to earth
    the place of its birth;

    There are so many life lessons to learn....no matter how old we get we are still learning.

    Rejoicing the pleasure
    of giving what we reap
    like tiny dew drops falling
    off a leaf.

    This stanza really touched my heart....we seem to be giving something to someone all our life.

    Great job!
    *hugs
    Love Cindy
