Listening Eyes

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 27, 2015

It's something about the way
you look into my eyes
and seem to know the truth
that hides away the pain;
even though neither of us
have spoken a word.

There is so much you have given me,
like the kindness you always offer,
the gentleness in your gestures,
and the smile of reassurance
that always sits upon your face.

A silent hug,
a priceless gift,
yet it speaks a thousand words
and heals more than a thousand scars.

I don't know how you can see right through me,
or why you are offering me your kindness -
it feels so undeserved.

But I can only tell you what I know,
and I know I already owe so much to you!

It's nice how, as you read this, the words flash through your mind, but the emotions they pull with them far out weigh the meaning of the words alone.
    Quote beautiful.
