Enduring love

by Sarah Day   Aug 29, 2015

His love is proven, the mark remains
Silence prevails and the spilt blood stains
The seed now is planted, firmly planted with pain,
sprouts out of anger, frustration,disdain
Time will bear witness to all of the games-
the slights, the slaps, the groundwork that's lain
The choice that's given in this pouring rain
is do you endure all of his outbursts while going insane
or should you make a stand and call out his name
put an end to this violence, suffering, and pain?

Sorry I really had to re-read it and then correct the poem since it was a nice poem but it had too many error mistakes in my head within the first lines sweetie. I'm not trying to be mean but it would help the reader understand so here's the edited version.

His love is proven; the mark remains.
Silence prevails, and the spilt blood stains,
the seed now is planted firmly with pain.
Sprouts out of anger, frustration, and disdain,
time will bear witness to all of the games.
    The slights, the slaps, the groundwork that's lain;
the choice that's given in this pouring rain,
is done to you to endure all of his outbursts while going insane,
or should you make a stand and call out his name.
Put an end to this violence suffering and pain?

This poem was short but it was quite interestingly made. I find it beautiful after I added or helped you with your poem it's very unique for a being poet and it's always beautiful to read someone's story or poem and see in the future how they become better and see their old poems with fond memories and this poem was dark and I loved it!

Sorry for not commenting before I was kind of in my own world and I sort of forgot my post so sorry. 4/5

    Very emotional write.

"should you make a stand and call out his name
put an end to this violence suffering and pain?

"You have answered the question with your last line. Life is to short to spend it with someone that makes you feel like this.

    Good job!
    Take care
