For my sister

by Sarah Day   Aug 29, 2015

Tucked in tight to slumber deep
In the cover of darkness death does creep
Wake to stillness start to weep
My sister is gone died in her sleep

Question the concept confusion and pain
Why did god take her and yet here I remain?
Too much stimulus for my brain
Nothing makes sense drive me insane

They say the good die young and other things
But to my heart no relief it brings
The angels in heaven now will sing
As she has come home to reclaim her wings

Call it selfish whatever you may
It's so unfair she's gone away
Many tears will fall upon us today
Not much more there is to say

My sister my mentor my role model my friend
Life cut too short an abrupt end
For you I will forever spend
Questioning searching hoping to mend

"Carry through life, experience the incredible . Without even thoughts of the inevitable. We all must understand, our existence is brief. An unacceptable part of life, all cannot conceive". I understand if life was well lived...but taken prematurely. I too felt your tears.

I have a three sisters and the thought of losing one of them breaks my heart.
Hopefully with time you will heal some of the hurt. I lost my husband 14yrs ago...and you never forget.

    Excellent Job!
    Take care Cindy
