Again, for my sister

by Sarah Day   Aug 29, 2015

I'll think of you as I have for years
You're just hanging on the beach and drinking beers
That will allay my mounting fears
Relieve my sadness and my tears

So instead of mournful thoughts that bring such pain
I tell myself I'll see you again
Could be tomorrow I don't know when
Maybe another few years or it may be ten

I know my Father in Heaven Lord Divine
Has a plan for me and mine
I may not like it but I will be fine
It will be clear in its own time

So for today to spare my ache
I'll imagine you chilling , just takin a break
That well deserved rest you would never take
I'll see you again - that's no mistake!

A moving piece indeed that left a lump in my throat as so many sad poems on this site do.
All the best and take care,
    Ben
