The Damage

by Some Random Human   Sep 5, 2015

Don't know why I comply,
with the lie you keep,
I'd rather die tonight,
I can't fall asleep,
It's a war inside,
my mind so deep,
my life denied,
my heart won't beat,

You know your mind,
is a lie,
all you'll find,
inside,
overrun,
by the damage,
that you've done,
this time.
you know your mind,
is a lie,
all you'll find,
inside,
overrun,
by the damage,
that you've done,
this time.

Don't know why I decide,
to reside with thee,
I'd rather fly so high,
than fall asleep,
when our worlds collide,
my mind's a piece,
of a life defined,
by the heart that beats,

You know my mind,
is a lie,
all you'll find,
inside,
overrun,
by the damage,
that we've done,
this time.
You know my mind,
is a lie,
all you'll find,
inside,
overrun,
by the damage,
that we've done,
this time.

Don't know why I comply,
with the lie you keep,
I'd rather die tonight,
I can't get to sleep...

Your emotions radiate from the words you penned.

    Don't know why I comply,
    with the lie you keep,
    I'd rather die tonight,
    I can't get to sleep...

Why do people put up with things that seem to bother us the most. Seems like the nights when sleep dosen't come are the ones when your mind just keeps running things over and over.

    Good job!

Thanks, sleepless, thinking filled nights are the worst.
