This is brilliant - the content and the way you've made it rhyme ( which is never easy in acrostic poetry ) is really good. Best acrostic I've read in ages!

Michael, this looks very neat, the way you made it rhyme and all, but what does it mean????

    Hello Ingrid,

    I will explain...

    Things that
    are
    knicked
    er...
    nabbed?
    ^
This first section 'Taken' was inspired by Ben's acrostic of the same name. I took the word literally and twisted it to mean I stole, or as I have said, 'nicked and nabbed' (both these terms mean to steal) his idea/ concept.

    Attract
    germinating grains,
    affecting brains -
    invigorating like
    Novocaine
    ^
The final (Again) section is my simile of the excitement experienced when inspired by another poetical work. Cocaine would be the extreme simile of invigorated experience.

    I am glad you asked.

I like the creative angle you took with this acrostic...

Novcaine numbs the brain but never the thoughts... Truly a deep little gem here... Love it

Thank you, dear. I think it is time I knicked some ideas of our friend Ben as well!

    Well done!

...nabbing his ideas are fun and besides, he has ideas a plenty, there's enough to go around the whole site. :O)

      Thanks Ben.

Ingrid, Michael - ideas are one thing, but executing them the way you two do is another!
That rap battle reminded me of my own work - just endless spouting of (oftentimes) nonsense!!
    All the best you two,
    Ben
