    Hello,

a new creation for me to read...

Title - A scent of belonging: This could be a need or want to conform to a norm, or maybe something else? Lets read on...

Verse 1. This is intriguing. Life is chaotic and it can sometimes be so intense that we don't have time to assess the direction we are heading.

Verse 2. I like the concept of a map of life, a handbook to show how to get through life. Maybe a How to live my life for Dummies? lol
The full stop metaphor is new to me and effective way to show the end of a life. I am relived really when it is still out of sight. For you at least anyway.

Verse 3. This part, the mid way point if you like, is superb. A special person, or a love of writing who exists on the fringes and randomly pops up. This special person, urge to write lives in the physical, creative and emotional world of words, so much so that a library stands in honour.

Verse 4. This verse, to me sounds of a yearning, a hoping of trust. This is my heart and my words, my history and I want to and need to be able to trust you with them. They are precious, they are me and they need love, like I love them.

Verse 5. This feels like a need for balance. Like, I will walk halfway with my life if you will do the same. Once we are as one and comfortable in a shared skin my heart will finally have a home.

This is excellent and I am unsure if I have unraveled it correctly, but I have enjoyed reading it closely.

    Thank you for sharing. Nominated

    Take care,

    Michael

"But I always find you again,
    not on those busy streets,
    but within the lines..
    that drew the poems..
    which carved dictionaries.,
that stood to build a library..
    ..of you!"

    ^^^^So deeply touching Bravo!!!
