Unable To Fly

by Baby Rainbow   Sep 15, 2015

I want to fly away
because I need a new beginning,
and I'm now feeling the ground of the past shake
as whatever is in my mind won't go away,
and those words of yours aren't working any more
to end all of the wars inside of me.

And I wish so much I could fly away
to a place where broken dreams and memories
no longer haunt me throughout the night.

But Reality Road leads me to
the aftermath of an angry man's power,
where he slashed a hole through my delicate wings,
trapping me in this nightmare forever.

The past is just that, the past, we learn from it, it molds us into who we are today, patch up that hole in your wing and fly high my sweet, create new beautiful dreams and memories and leave those nightmares behind

Spreading my wings and fly away to a place where my past can't find me. Sadly we can run all we want but we can't hide forever. The past will catch up with us sooner or later. We can't fly with broken wings. I love this write and you have chosen a great title.
