Just an eye disease

by Karla   Sep 16, 2015

It is always the same thing
and their eyes avoid the pus:
they can't bear what it conceals
and explains because
it's ugly and hot and despicable.

they prefer the sameness of
a yes, the bald gentleman's agreement,
the old pat on the back.
it's easier
and painless.
there won't be any side effect either.

me thinks i shuldn't care about it
cuz you know huh,
i am a barefoot Carmem Miranda,
the stereotype of the stereotype.
don't come close:
i bark and bite.

there's no cure for me
neither for them.
astigmatism blurs everything.
