When Nature Calls

by Shelley Williams   Sep 17, 2015

Branches form
on a growing tree,
There is beauty
in the bumble bee.

The birds chirp awake
the start of day,
The roses bloom
where the butterflies play.

The sun shines down
upon the plants,
The earth enjoys
the flower's dance.

The breeze whistles
with nature's hum,
The sounds warn
that a storm will come.

White clouds float
above the land,
The sky turns gray
with strong demand.

The thunder claps
and raindrops fall,
A lightning strike
makes spiders crawl.

The night has come
with strong release,
The storm moves in
and the wind increase.

The shadow's glare
adorns the night,
A sudden flash
fills the sky with light.

Time brings change,
and storm clouds clear,
The sun rises up
and settles fear.

The morning dew
brightens the rose,
Under a blue sky
the river flows.

Earth survives
the nights and days,
When nature calls
the land obeys.
